Introduction

  • Brown Fused Alumina (BFA), is also known as Brown Fused Alumina or BFA, is made of superior calcined bauxite, mixed with ferric chippings and coal as per suitable rates, melting at super high temperature condition approximately 2250℃ through an electric arc furnace processing.
  • Brown Fused Aluminum Oxide has a high bulk density and high hardness making it the perfect media for removing rust, mill scale, and surface contamination. The consistent particle size allows for a uniform surface finish and coverage.

  • How is brown fused aluminium oxide produced?

    Brown Fused Alumina (BFA), is also known as Brown Fused Alumina or BFA, is made of superior calcined bauxite, melting at super high temperature condition approximately 2250℃ through an electric arc furnace processing. After series of processing including  aluminium oxide blocks cooling, crushing, grinding and pickling etc, brown fused aluminium is packed in jumbo bags or paper bag as per client’s requirement.

    Advantages

    Brown Fused Aluminum Oxide has a high bulk density and high hardness making it the perfect media for removing rust, mill scale, and surface contamination. The consistent particle size allows for a uniform surface finish and coverage. Angular shape gives it an aggressiveness that provides a clean, fast-cutting action, considerably increasing production rates.

    Additionally, BFA has a low friability which allows it to be recirculated on average, up to seven times. These characteristics reduce abrasive consumption, clean up, and disposal costs, increasing profitability.

    Mohs hardness 9.0 and such tough material with high strength, makes brown fused aluminium oxide as a necessary and superb raw materials for applications in abrasive industry:Such as grinding wheels, sandpaper, blasting media, metal preparation, lapping, polishing, and grinding, and abrasive discs, rolls, belts and pads.

    Brown Fused Alumina Oxide – Refractories & Ceramics

    Well performance of thermal shock resistance makes brown fused alumina oxide an important and fabulous raw material for refractory industries as well. Refractory bricks, castable refractories, ramming mass, gunning mix etc.

    Available grits: 0-1,1-3,3-5,5-8,8-12mm; 0-3, 0-5,0-10,0-25mm

    Fine Powder: 0-180, 0-240, 0-320mesh
